Michael Petrie completed his undergraduate work at the Richard Stockton University and his graduate work at Fairleigh Dickison University, with a focus on I/O Psychology and Human Factors Engineering. Following his education, Michael began his career with Aetna and then Magellan in the Behavioral Healthcare / Employee Assistance marketplace as a consultant providing hands-on plan administration, employee consultations, management trainings and sales presentations.
In 1999, Michael called upon his IT education and skills and joined the ever-growing IT sector within behavioral health and human services as a systems analyst, project manager and sales engineer, with a focus on dynamic, database-driven, web-based applications serving both the Echo Group and, later, Netsmart Technologies. He has since evolved into focusing primarily on the development and implementation of web based applications, electronic interfaces, portals, and solutions for all marketplaces. His skills include most aspects of modern web-based programming and integration (e.g., SOA, XML, OOP), database programming and administration, and platform presentations and training. In 2009, Michael formed Virtulink which has now grown into Fivebase LLC, providing cloud, mobile and software consulting solutions.
